Charles (ZhengYang) He was born in 2000 in Zhejiang province, China. Charles had begun his artistic education at home at an early age under the influence of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. When he was twelve, he went to Auckland, New Zealand to study. Charles values inclusiveness and creativeness in his works of art. In terms of the use of materials, he jumped out of the scope of art supplies and often uses natural materials and the traditional crafting processes in his works.

Recently, Charles is studying the extraction of pigments from natural materials (stone, soil and plants), as well as the properties and functions of natural materials and how to make materials draw themselves without too much artificial interference.
